How to use php selector to set a php version in cpanel?

Here I am going to show you how you can set the php version of your site from cpanel.

First of all, login to your cpanel by clicking on the link to cpanel. You can also find the same in the activation email that you received after signing up with 1onlyhost’s webhosting.

 

Your login screen would look something like this;

 

This is the cPanel on 1onlyhost. Go to Software and services and click the option that says select php version.

 

The default php version is 5.4. You can select anyone from the options. After selecting click on save and you are good to go.

 

How to check current PHP Version

The current php version also can be checked from this interface. Look at the ‘Current PHP version:’ section in the opened window. The current PHP version will be shown next to this section. Please see the image below for reference.

How to add a php module in cPanel

You can add a module from the ‘Select PHP Version’ section. It comes under ‘Software and Services’ section. If you are using the CloudLinux, there will be a list of modules that can be added. You need to check the checkbox near to the module you want to install and click on ‘Save’ button. The selected modules are installed now. Please see the screenshot below for further reference.
