Package Management in WHM

This feature allows us to create packages with different resource allocations. We can assign these packages to new or existing cPanel accounts.

Steps to create a package

1: Login to WHM.

2: Click “Packages” option from home page.

3: Click “Add a Package.”

4: Enter package name in the “Package Name” box.

5: Under the “Resources” option enter details about disk quota, monthly bandwidth, FTP accounts, Email accounts, database details, domains details etc. You can refer the following picture to get more details about “Resources” option.

6: Enter details about dedicated IPs, shell access, cPanel theme, Locale etc. in the “Settings” option.

Once everything is set, click “Add”. New package has been created now. You assign this newly created packages to new or existing cPanel accounts.

Steps to remove a package.

1: Login to WHM.

2: Click “Packages” option from home page.

3: Click “Delete a Package.”

4: From the package menu select a package you wish to delete.

5: Click “Delete” to delete the selected package.

Steps to edit a package

We can modify created packages in WHM. Refer the following steps to edit package in WHM.

1: Login to WHM.

2: Click “Packages” option from home page.

3: Click “Edit a Package.”
