Multi Account Functions in cPanel
cPanel is the most used control panel in the World through which we can manage our websites and settings easily via a User-Friendly interface. On a webhosting business, sometimes we should need to make modification on more than one hosting accounts or needs to update IP change on more than one accounts. The cPanel’s Multi Account functionalities will be useful in such situations. Through Modify/Upgrade Multiple accounts interface on WHM, we can make modification on multiple cPanel accounts at the same time. Also the Change Multiple Sites Ip address interface helps to repoint multiple accounts to a separate IP address.
Let’s discuss the steps on how to use these tools in cPanel/WHM.
1) Login to the WHM interface and then select the “Multi Account Functions” icon on the Home page.
2) To make modification on more than one hosting accounts, select the ‘Modify/Upgrade Multiple Accounts’ icon. For changing IP address for more than one hosting account select ‘Change Multiple Sites IP Address’ icon on the interface.
Modify/Upgrade Multiple Accounts Interface:
On this interface, you can select multiple accounts by ticking the box beside the domain names, and then select the details from the drop-down list such as Reseller name, theme, date, Locale/Language, and package. Once the values are select accordingly, click on the ‘Change’ button to make the changes.
Change Multiple Sites IP Address Interface:
Through this interface, we can update the IP address for more than one account by ticking the box beside the hosting domain name and then click on the ‘Change IPs of Selected Accounts’ button there.
On the new interface select the new IP address from the drop-down list and then click on the ‘Change IPs’ button to make the changes.
As this is an IP address updating, please allow up to 24 hours to complete the DNS propagation fully over the Internet.
